Trusts and foundations are independent grant-making organisations who support charitable and non-charitable causes in the UK. They give around £2 billion each year to the UK’s voluntary and community sector to deliver services which wouldn’t normally receive Government funding, like Friendship Works. Each Trust and Foundation has its own purpose and mission which sets out what it can and can’t fund and many are committed to funding only specific activities, projects or geographical areas. We are extremely grateful for the support we receive from over 50 Charitable Trusts and Foundations who fund our work and share our view that every child deserves a supportive childhood and the opportunity to fulfil their potential. The loyalty and generosity of these organisations means a great deal to us and helps us to continue to provide high-quality one-to-one adult mentoring support to disadvantaged and vulnerable children and families across London who are in desperate need of friendship. If you are a Charitable Trust, Foundation or other grant-making organisation and are interested in supporting Friendship Works, or want to know more about the support we get from Trusts and Foundations, we would be happy to tell you more about us, our work and our plans for the future. Please contact Vicky Gillane by email at vicky@friendshipworks.org.uk or on 020 7485 0900. |
