helping families

Our team

Working together

Our front-line work is done by a team of experienced caseworkers, who have a background in social work, child care, education, psychotherapy or a related field. Caseworkers take referrals, recruit and train volunteers, assess children and families, match children and their volunteer mentors and build close relationships to supervise the friendships.

Sometimes, being a mentor to a vulnerable child can be tricky. Volunteers encounter many difficult situations as they befriend a child. Having a caseworker available to help them understand and give them advice is essential to the success of many of the friendships.

Our caseworkers are supported by a Fundraising and Communications Team who concentrate on raising the funds for our services, and getting our message out across London.
