Help us recruit 100 mentors in 2014
Friendship Works improves the life chances of vulnerable children and young people in London through long-term, one-to-one mentoring support. Friendship with an adult volunteer mentor can help a socially isolated child access new opportunities, build self esteem and develop hopes and aspirations for the future. This year, we want to help another 100 children and we desperately need more volunteer mentors to help us achieve our goal.
Actor Tom Hiddleston recently gave his support to our campaign. Join Tom and other caring celebrities and help us recruit and train 100 new mentors in 2014.
How you can help
We need 100 adult volunteers who are friendly, empathetic and resilient and have the capacity to make a long-term commitment to spending time with a child or young person living in London for a few hours each weekend.
We strive to give our volunteers, children and families the best possible chance of achieving a lasting friendship that truly makes a difference. This vital professional support is funded purely by donations and if volunteering is not possible for you, you can still make a difference by choosing to support one of our mentors through a gift to Friendship Works.
We know that lots of Londoners look for volunteering opportunities every day, and we want to spread the word about our work so they can consider becoming a mentor. We need your help. Please join us on:
