Friendship Works is thrilled to have the support of Arsenal as part of the annual Community Shield. With their donation of £25,000, we will continue supporting and improving the life chances of children aged 5 to 16 on our shared doorstep.
“The best thing about hanging out with my mentor is that I get to do more things that I didn’t do before, like going to a football match for the first time. It is nice to have my own time and space to do my own things and be myself with my mentor”
Arsenal and Friendship Works are thrilled to be working together to raise awareness of this excellent work. Together, they want to recruit more adult volunteers to mentor local children so these children can enjoy simple activities other children take for granted. By having a mentor, children supported by our organisation have a chance at a brighter childhood and better opportunities.
“The mentor helps you stay out of trouble… they inspire you to do new things and not follow other people, but follow your dreams”
A big thank you to The Arsenal Foundation for the generous donation and helping us spread the word about the work we do.
