After 12 years at Friendship Works, and 6 years as Chief Executive, Richard Turner will be leaving the charity in the summer. Under Richard’s leadership, Friendship Works has greatly increased the number of children it supports and has strengthened its reputation for the quality of the long term mentoring it offers to young people. The Trustees of the charity are grateful both for the commitment and energy that Richard has brought to his role and also, as he leaves to take on new challenges, that Friendship Works is ready and able to go into the future with confidence. Thank you Richard for all you have done.
“Friendship Works is an extraordinary charity and it’s been wonderful to work with so many passionate and committed colleagues, Trustees, Patrons and supporters. For me, however, the greatest rewards have come from getting to know some of the incredible volunteers, young people and families we support. I have been privileged to see the difference that one good friend can make to the life of a young person.”
The recruitment process is now underway to find a new CEO with the right skills and experience to build on our success and take the charity to the next level.
