This month has seen several Friendship Works supporters slip their running shoes on and take on the ultimate running challenge in aid of Friendship Works. Sunday 7th April kicked off ‘Marathon Month’ with Patrick McCarter from BCS Consulting and Guillaume van Eeckhout of SNL Financial travelling across The Channel to compete in the Paris Marathon. Both completed the course in under 4 hours and have raised over £3,500 including Gift Aid and matched giving!
Tim Wright of the London Stock Exchange Group completed the Milan Marathon the same day and if that wasn’t challenging enough, Tim also ran the London Marathon with colleagues David Lester and Kingsley Ford on Sunday 21st April. Our fabulous London Marathon team was completed with Lois Stonock who has been a Friendship Works mentor for over a year. The team have raised an incredible £26,900 to date, which will help provide more mentoring support to children and young people in London.
Friendship Works would like to offer its thanks and congratulations to Patrick, Guillaume, Tim, David, Kingsley and Lois for their amazing commitment and support. A special thanks also go to the London Stock Exchange Group, BCS Consulting and SNL Financial and not forgetting our enthusiastic team of volunteers for all their help on the day.
