From 29-31 July 2012, three teams of riders took part in Les Trois Étapes, the ultimate pro-am cycle challenge, to generate funds for Friendship Works.
Les Trois Étapes is an extreme three-day race event to test the stamina, skill and endurance of cycling enthusiasts by putting them through three gruelling stages of the Tour de France. Each stage consists of flat, uphill and downhill sections.
Each amateur team was accompanied by a pro-cyclist. The Friendship Works riders were led by Tour de France winner 2008, Carlos Sastre.
Friendship Works are very proud of our teams and thrilled that through their hard work we have generated more than £300k to support children needing mentors.
Friendship Works would like to say a huge thank you and well done to the following:
Pro: Carlos Sastre
Pro: Jake Martin
Pro: Barry Scott
Friendship Works would also like to say muchas gracias to Carlos Sastre and Piadet Sastre for their support. A special thank you goes out to Friendship Works corporate partner, The London Stock Exchange Group, for supporting the Friendship Works teams.
