We were delighted to be able to offer the opportunity for corporate supporters Special Moves to open the London Stock Exchange bright and early on the morning of Friday 10 August. The event celebrated their recent fundraising efforts for Friendship Works.
Opening the market were all the riders from Special Moves who took part in the Moonriders London to Brighton cycle ride, raising over £3,000 for the charity.
John Lau, Interactive Producer and Captain of the Special Moves Moonriders team said:
“We’re very grateful to everyone who sponsored us on the ride and thrilled to be supporting Friendship Works; opening the market at the London Stock Exchange was a once in a lifetime experience.”
The event was hosted by Emma Kalliomäki, Head of SEDOL Masterfile at London Stock Exchange Group and long-term volunteer mentor for Friendship Works. Emma said:
“London Stock Exchange was delighted to welcome the cycling team from Special Moves. Completing the London to Brighton Moonriders cycle race is a great achievement and we are very pleased that they have raised over £3,000 for our partner charity Friendship Works. The LSEG Foundation also chose Friendship Works as its partner charity only this year and we are proud to support such an inspiring organisation.”
The next event Special Moves are taking part in to raise funds for Friendship Works is the Zombie Evacuation Race, which will see the team running a 5k obstacle course whilst being chased by zombies.
