We believe that every child has the right to make the most of their childhood, and we have joined Beatbullying on their Big March 2012 to keep children safe from the fear of bullying.
The Big March is the world’s first global online campaign for children’s rights, mobilising international companies, charities, celebrities and hundreds of thousands of young people from around the world to speak with one voice to stop bullying.
The campaign takes place on 1 March 2012 and calls on the UN to include ‘the right of every child to be safe from bullying, violence and fear of violence’ in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
If the petition is successful, it will be the first time that the Convention has been changed in 10 years.
And the greatest thing about it?
The Big March takes place entirely online, meaning you don’t even have to leave home to take part. Just get online to register and sign the petition and you’ll be part of the campaign to make a lasting difference for children all over the world.
When you register, you’ll be able to create a mini-campaigner to represent you, who will automatically join the online march on 1 March 2012 which will cross leading websites worldwide such as facebook and MTV, as well as Friendship Works, on its way to deliver the petition to the UN.
As official partners in the campaign, the march will cross our website on the day, so you can visit us to see your campaigner marching with ours and millions of others.
