Friendship Works announces new Chair of the Board

We are pleased to announce the appointment of George Dunnett as the new Chair of the Friendship Works Board of Trustees. George has been a Trustee of Friendship Works since 2005, when he was introduced to the charity through his job at long-time corporate supporter Allen & Overy.

His current post is as a management consultant with Bain & Co, and his background helping companies to develop their strategy and maximise performance makes him an ideal choice for the role. He is looking forward to leading Friendship Works to the next stage in expanding services to support more children across London.

George replaces former Chair Judy Hildebrand, who has stepped down after 4 years in the post. Judy brought a strong sense of commitment to the role, along with the expertise and experience of a long and distinguished career working with children and families. She trained as a Social Worker and worked in front line services, specialising in Psychiatric Social Work and Family Therapy. Judy joined the Board of Trustees in 2007, becoming Chair in 2008. As Chair she led Friendship Works through a period of significant expansion and organisational change.

We would like to thank Judy for her dedication to Friendship Works and extend a warm welcome to George, who will continue the good work to improve the quality of life for children across London.
