Team Friendship Run to the Beat

Raising a cheer for our Royal Parks runners

The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon 2012 saw its biggest turn out yet in the event’s five year history. Of the 12,500 runners, fifteen chose to run for Friendship Works. We have 13 runners taking part in this stunning half marathon through London’s Royal Parks on Sunday 7 October, including a team of 11 runners from our Corporate Partner, the London Stock Exchange Group. Friendship Works fundraiser races to the finish line at the London Marathon 2012

Russell Watson, from ING Bank, took part in the London Marathon 2012 on 22 April to support Friendship Works. ING has pledged to double the money Russell raised which takes his current total to £1,822. We would like to say thank you to Russell, and congratulate him on speeding around the 26.2 miles in the fantastic time of just 3 hours and 57 minutes.

Committed volunteer-turned-fundraiser completes Paris Marathon 2012

A huge well done to Friendship Works volunteer, Marie Heracleous for completing the Paris Marathon is 5 hours 17 mins. Despite the windy conditions which made it heavy going in places Marie completed this challenge and raised £745 for Friendship Works. Thank you Marie, we hope you enjoyed some well-deserved cheese and wine after your huge efforts.

Friendship Works supporters triumph at the British London 10k

We would like to thank all of our runners for taking part in the British London 10k on Sunday 10 July for Friendship Works. Despite the increasing temperatures on the day all of our team completed the course and there were some very impressive times achieved.
