Volunteer Mentors

In 2011, we extended our services beyond Islington and Camden, and are now taking referrals for children in Southwark as well. We are currently looking for more volunteers to match with the children on our waiting list.

Find out more about becoming a mentor, and take our interactive quiz to see if it’s right for you, or start your application form online.

Male Mentors Needed

We currently have a waiting list of boys aged 5 to 16 who are waiting to be matched with a male mentor. Some would like a positive role model, some would like to do sporting activities, and some have simply never had a consistent adult male presence in their life. Step forward and help make a positive impact in the lives of these young people.

If you’re interested in being a mentor for a teenage boy who needs a bit of guidance and support, you can find out more and take our interactive quiz, or start your application form now.

Two-Parent Pilot Project

We’re looking for volunteers to mentor young people in London living in two-parent/carer families. After working with single parent families for over 30 years, Friendship Works is exploring whether to expand our service to more families.

We need volunteer mentors who would also be willing to work with us to understand how mentoring in a two-parent/carer family might be different. Learn more about our Two-Parent Pilot Project.
