Organisation and role overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in fundraising and to play a pivotal role in Friendship Works’ new fundraising campaign -Spring into 2013.  The campaign aims to sign up 200 people (or organisations) to run small fundraising events during January to March 2013.  These events might be coffee mornings, parties, quiz nights, sporting events or other ideas.  We are asking people to raise £150 through each event and the target for the whole campaign is to raise £30,000.

We will be promoting Spring into 2013 via our website and newsletters but direct promotion of the campaign through phone calls and individual emails will be key to reaching our target of 200 participants.

As the Volunteer Fundraising Intern you will make direct approaches to supporters of Friendship Works, either by phone or email, encouraging them to take part in Spring into 2013.  Once participants have signed up to the campaign you will support them to set up their event, providing an information pack and guidance where necessary.

Our culture

Friendship Works has a highly dedicated and energetic team working to provide high quality mentoring services for children. The team works collaboratively in an open, creative and supportive environment to constantly develop and improve services and achieve excellence.
